four weeks...

Time is flying!! Hard to believe we've had our little Pip in our home already for 4 weeks already!! She is doing fantastic, she is up to 9+ lbs and 21inches (she was 7lbs 6oz and 20inches @bl birth). She is starting to smile and trying to roll. She loves to be held in the cradle hold and be talked to. She loves her sisters, and turns her head to watch them when they enter her view. She is a sweetie. Three liitles is so much fun...the big sisters are so in love with "our baby". Roo rarely walks by her without an exclamation of "awwwwwww she is so SO cute." She has also named her "my little goodie" and her greeting every morning is "oooh hi little one...awwww...hi my little goodie.w" Friendly has her moments of jealousy and sadness, but her love for her little sister is unmistakeable...she asks to hold her all the time and she is so gentle and sweet. P just stares and stares. Well need to close. Mytime to type is limited, the baby is a bit dramatic when it comes to meal times and it often takes my full attention. She is fine most feedings, but the evenings she gets tired and upset and thars when i have time away from the bigs...I have so much to catch up on!

Pictures...

Hard to believe little Miss Piper will be 2 weeks old tomorrow! The time has flown by!!! We decided during the pregnancy that we were going to make peace and rest an absolute priority after this baby...We've been staying home (well Ryan has been taking the girls to parks every day to get them fresh air), and just simply enjoying becoming a family of 5. It's been a beautiful time of rest and getting to really focus on, enjoy, and get to know this new little person. Needless to say, she's amazing.

2 days old
Since she's a winter baby we've been making health (and hygiene) a priority...It's so nice to be able to take this time - since it's winter- to rest...To keep things simple and close. Some thing God has been teaching us a lot about the last year. Our culture is so fast paced, it's a "good" thing to be busy- too busy. And we miss so much, we miss the process.

We've been very much soaking up this "process"... It's really been a gift to have every one healthy right now, and to be able to make this transition peacefully and taking it as it comes.

Older Sisters are infatuated with the Newby, they can't.stop.touching.her (it's to the point where I feel overstimulated- good thing P is a lot more mellow than I am!)...They just can't get enough of her little hands and "piggy toes" and her soft soft hair. We're still drifting along on our babymoon, so it's hard to say how the adjustment is really going, as Ryan is still home for a couple hours in the morning to kind of wear the kids out,. And my Mom has been helping a ton by coming in the afternoons to keep us company and take the girls if I need some extra rest. Next week reality really starts to sink in "Mommy divided by 3" full time- might be a bit tricky. But so far, they're loving having the new baby in the house...As long as Friendly gets time with Mommie every day (definitely using P's naps!) to be snuggled and babied- she's good to go.

Taking it a day at a time...

New Big Sister is in LOVE! Holding 6ish day old  Newby

It's safe to say, she's excited to be a big sister! :0)
Bright Eyed Beauty
This is the story of the new baby's life: Eyes are open= she is surrounded by big sissy's ooohing and awwwwwing over her...They can't get enough!
She already has a little sense of humor, this one...This is the tail end of a grin: 1 week old.
VERY peaceful baby, takes the craziness of older siblings in stride and such a sweet snuggle bug.
She seriously gets no peace. :0D

Four Years Old!

I have so much catching up to do on the Holidays...Really the whole month of December! It's been a very fun, busy month!

But just a few more hours left of the 31st- a very special day- Roo is 4 years old.

Didn't I just wrote her "3 year old" post last week?
I seriously cannot believe she's 4. I think it's been a "Happy Birthday"...We took *just* her to see The Muppet Movie and then out for a sundea at Friendly's- she had a blast.

A walk down Memory Lane...
